Physical fitness to teach primary children?

What level of physical fitness is required to teach Key Stage 1 and Foundation children. What are the physical demands of the job? Would anyone with mobility, lifting, carrying, kneeling and bending issues be to cope with the demands of the job and could they or the children in their care be considered at risk of personal injury?

I recently got into a car crash, in which i pulled across the opposite lane in which to park in a space. Out of nowhere a car came belting my way and so i tried to turn to miss it but she hit my car (it is a write off) and she also hit 2 stationary vehincles. She is saying she wasnt speeding but she was. There ar no independant witnesses to this accident. I was taken into hospital with a suspected broken wrist and concussion which i am told will last about a week so i will be off work for at least 2 weeks. I passed the breathalizer no problem whereas she barely passed it. I only get paid for the hours i work so i have lost alot of money from being off.

The police have informed me that as there are no independant witnesses then it will be the insurance companies job to battle it out. The police made me feel as if it was all my fault, whereas I know for sure that she was not there before I began to pull in. I had a massive knock to the head so i dont remember anything after that. But she refused any hospital care. Or any treatment.

What will the insurance companies make of this?
If they do decide that I am the one to blame, then where do I stand with personal Claims?

I am fully comp and and have 5 years no claims.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks.
Would i still be able to claim personal Injury?

how can i lie on my cv about my previous employer?

i hurt my back at work 8 months ago, and when i wanted to go back to work my employer fired me! so i am pursuing a personal injury claim for the slipped disc i suffered in my back. i want to work but now im stuck in a position were if i give my last employer as a reference or previous employment he will definatly give me a bad refernce because i have put a claim in. how can i get around this? i was there for 9 years…..
The reason why he would give me a bad reference is because he was running his buisness not up to health and saftey standards shall we say. so i have opened up a big can of worms for him. he is going to be very very bitter with me , as i am with him for firing me for not being able to do my previous job….

I fell early last year and broke my arm in a hotel, i am currently claiming compensation for this and is ongoing. when i went back to work afterwards i got radial tunnel syndrome in the same arm which i may need an operation on now but the doc told me it is a work related injury and not because of the broken arm. I was wondering can you claim the hotel and my job at the same time?

hello everyone – , in my work place ( a sausage manufacturers ) lifting heavy weights is involved all day long. it usually takes 2 people to lift the 50kg tubs of meat into the machine, but due to staff shortages etc, this became a problem as often enough there would be nobody around to ask for help lifting the heavy weights. so through fear of maybe loosing my job if i didnt keep working i was left ( and encouraged by my employer ) to lift them by myself. after months of doing this i started getting pain in my lower back, until november 2008 i got a sudden sharp pain down my back and leg ( which the doctor diagnosed as sciatica ) but even with this pain i still tried to do my job and it got even worse to a point were i couldnt go to work for a short while. i still have this pain in my back, and also in january this year i was doing some excercises at home ( leg raises ) when all of a sudden i got a sharp agonising pain in my back, which after seeing my doctor and having an MRI scan at hospital i had a slipped disc in my back. i asked my employer if he would give me holiday pay to get me by, and he said no – i will have to go on the sick benefit. so i have been on ssp ( statutory sick pay ) from january until now. and to add insult to injury, i wanted to go back to work 2 weeks ago and do an alternative job ( not heavy lifting or anything ) and he has said no, and has told me to go and hand in my benefit papers to the unemployment office. so know hes getting rid of me…. do i have a personal injury case as i still suffer with back pain?

just for information – i am in the uk , and i have never had a contract of employment for 9 years….

I had an accident about 2 years ago and have been persuing a personal injury claim as a result. I am due to go to court in the next few months and need to tie up any loose ends…

My question – Can I claim for future loss of earnings even though I am still employed – As a result of my accident I had to leave my previous job (IT Trainer) and take on a lower paid job instead (Technician).

With a 2 year gap out of the IT industry I will find it very difficult to get back to an IT Trainer role and my salary will never match that of an IT Trainer.

So although I am not disabled as a result of my accident, can I still claim for the gap in my salary?

I have been using the Odgen table 1 to calculate the loss of earnings from date of trail until retirement age of 65, but do I need to apply any additional mulitpliers to this scenario?

Chris

What do you think?

Is a Personal Injury lawyer better paid than a criminal lawyer in the UK?
which one would have more ‘fun’ in their job?
its really difficult to decide! but i have to make my mind up soon…

I am a Legal Secretary – very experienced having worked in Crown Court, Magistrates Court, Civil, Matrimonial and Personal Injury?

I live in the North West region of the UK (Blackpool).

Thinking about getting another job as I can’t afford to stay on the wages I am on and I doubt very much that my current employers will put my wages up.

What do you think?
Thank you for all your answers so far.

To clarify, I am 20 years of age, worked here for three years, do cover reception and work for two and on some occasions three Solicitors.

I have a mortgage etc and am married so I find it very difficult to live on my wages.

Can’t even afford a holiday or any improvment works on the house as a result of my low income.

I work 35 hours per week at the moment and sometimes do overtime which just gets overlooked.

I know I am only young but I have all of the experience and qualifications needed and to raise a little extra cash I run my own typing business from home but it does not bring loads in.

I broke my little finger at a special needs school i work at. It isnt healing after 10 weeks. I want to claim for personal injury. I have been their 12 months. Since then, the headmistress has had countless meetings with me from my C.R.B form, which she says something has arisen which has set alarm bells ringing, to not signing out which she says is a deriliction of duty. I have been residing with a clique of people who are a bad influence, to allowing EBD kids to swear and smoke. All are lies.
I feel like walking away……but I love the job I do because I get really good results.
Should I put up and shut up!!!???.
