Hello
I injured my knee in my local gym 4yrs ago.I slipped on a wet floor,a worker in the gym was mopping the floors.I slipped on the floor which had been just moped,he did not have a sign up saying the floor was wet.The girl who was mopping the floor helped me up and said sorry.
I went to the hospital and a cast was put on my leg.I had tore ligaments and chipped my kneecap.
It is still giving me alot of bother and i have to get an operation on it.
I seen a solicitor just after it happened and he issued proceeding, the case is on going.
My solicitor had to get a court order to get an engineer to get a report on the floor.
The other side had me see there doctor 1year ago.
my siltier says they are just dragging there heels. We want a court date in october, but will this happen if iam still receiving treatment?
I had to change my job and take a lower paid one.
Are they taking so long becouse iam seeking future loss of earnings?
My knee is giving me alot of problems and doctors say iam getting arthritis in it.My solicitor says they are seeking 350 grand, but he will not say what i might get if we win the case.
I am 27.
thanks for your comments
If they make an offer, how much might it be?
Maybe some like a solicitor may have experienced cases like this before.
thanks

Last Christmas my brother’s car was hit by a woman who pulled out of a slip road onto a main road without looking. She hit him head on and his car was totalled. My mother who was in the passenger seat was taken to hospital by ambulance, and found to have a broken sternum. The woman in the other car admitted responsibility at the scene and police suspected she may have been drinking.
The insurance claim for her personal injury is still going on! My mum has been sent to see two separate doctors to assess her case.
In February, my BF had a smiliar accident – silly bint pulled out etc, but he did not suffer severe injury, just back pain which kept him off work for a few days. Woman did not immediately admit responsiblity and had not been drinking.
He’s already been awarded £1,500!
What I don’t get is why such a cut and dried case like my mum’s is taking so long whilst a case like my BFs (which I thought wouldn’t come to anything) has been sorted already

I have received a court claim form sent by claimant, I had a car accident last year. The claim form says: The claimant had been to solicitor, and got evidence from my insurance that i was at fault. She had suffered from minor knee injury, been to doctors and was on pain killers, took 2-3 weeks off work and has recovered. Expected value of claim is minimum £1000 limited to £5000. The papers dont specify how much exactly i have to pay although court fee is £108. (I have not been to citizens bureau yet) the options I have are defend part or whole claim, or admit whole liability or let court decide how much i should pay. In this case i have fill in a form and send them my income and expenses details. I pay £382 pm for loan repayments (1 yr left) , purchase credit £60 pm for 2 yrs . Own a car and additional expenses. (im broke in simple words) I earn about 1000 pm and live with parent and wife who is expecting in may. Im really confused and dont know anything about law..

Does the insurance company go on all the reports that is received or just access you on their own doctors report?Their own doctor is not going to say their is much wrong with you in their report.
Do the barristers know each other and do they agree on a figure that each party is happy with?
Thanks for your help.

Hi
I realise the meeting is about making sure the case is ready to go for trail and to set out who will attend,doctors/witnesses etc…
Would it not be in both side interest to get things settled instead of going through the process of going to court??
Thanks to anyone with information on matter
