Physical fitness to teach primary children?

What level of physical fitness is required to teach Key Stage 1 and Foundation children. What are the physical demands of the job? Would anyone with mobility, lifting, carrying, kneeling and bending issues be to cope with the demands of the job and could they or the children in their care be considered at risk of personal injury?

basically long story short, i had an accident in april, my car got written off so I got the payout for that….but along with the accident i was injured with a whip lash.

yesterday i had received an offer of settlement for my injuries but I am not 100% fully recovered. Most of my injuries have got better but at the moment the biggest trouble is my neck. sometimes me back can ache but my neck can on some days still get abit stiff and straneous especially when i have my head tilted down to read a book for example. so some days it will be alright. its like even when i wake up in the mornings when its cold i can feel the cold to my neck and it activates the stiffness again. I would say I have recovered 90% compared to how i was before.

What should I do? Because if I reject it then im wondering how long they would take to make me a new proposal. How long would they take approximately? Because its taken long enough as it is for them to make this offer I dont want to wait another 3-4 months….1-2 months is reasonable.

Also due to my injuries I had to defer my part time placement at university (saturdays only) should I point this out to them?

thanks for any advice/help

Yes I did see a medical specialist

date of examination was 23/07/2010
and date of report is 26/07/2010

In section F 1.1 the doctor has stated "I do not consider any treatment or rehabilitation is required on this occassion"

estimated time to be fully recovered he stated in the medical report was 8-12 months I think that might have said from the date of the accident not sure if it said from the date of the medical examination. I dont have that part of the letter any longer.
