Personal Injury Uk – The Facts

Personal Injury UK

There is so much personal injury information in the media, when it is added to the many websites in the uk, it can be confusing as to where to get the best information and advice.

We have built this website to try and help people who are confused and need a reliable source of easy and understandable information in this area. We want everyone to have the best information and advice available.

We have all seen the adverts on the television – no win no fee but, how many people know how this works and which firm is the best?

We aim to provide the answers to users of this website so they can successfully make the right choices when making a claim.

NO WIN NO FEE

The company will help you with a compensation claim if you have an accident and a third party is to blame.

You don’t pay a single penny to the company. If they win then everything is fine as they will charge the losing side their legal fees. However, if you lose then the company will be paid by an insurance policy that you must take out prior to starting legal proceedings. As far as we know, insurance policy have a fee so no win no fee is not entirely correct.

We have companies that specialise in certain types of accidents like whiplash lawyers, it would be worthwhile locating these companies if indeed you have whiplash injuries and want to make a claim for compensation.

Another well known type of accident is injury at work, again there are companies out there specialising in workplace injuries.

i got attacked what should i do ?

hi there, a guy approached me at a shopping centre called meadowhall. he was very abusive towards me and i retaliated back. And me and my brother got thrown out of the shopping centre by security guards. There where like 10security guards pusshing and shoving us and swearing at us. I felt very threatened and was very afraid to speak. My brother who is only 17 got pushed and shoved against the walla really hard by them. And he has hurt his back and shoulder. Where does he stand ? could he claim personal injury ???

Do you think this name for a business is weird?

I saw an advert in a local paper for a personal injury company called….
Personal Injury Solicitors Services Office…. abbreviated as P.I.S.S.Off…
i thought it was quite funny…

Sorry about the essay to follow but want to fill in all the details.

Basically what happened last month when the weather was really bad with snow and black ice, my elder brother’s car wouldn’t start in the morning and he had to take the little ones to school but because they were getting late he didn’t jump start his own car but he took mine without me knowing, the problem here is that when I renewed my insurance I removed his name from the named drivers as he hardly ever drove my car and it was an easy way to reduce the cost of the insurance.

During the way to the school there’s a hill which you have to go down to get to the school, so my brother was going down that hill following a red VW Passat then while approaching a sharp bend, past the bend there was a gold Kia Sedona that had skidded and turned sideways blocking 75% of the road of both sides, my brother was unaware of this has it was past the bend. Even though my brother was going slow and steady, he noticed the Passat braking and so did my brother, but my brother skidded lost control of his car and hit the Passat which went forward and hit the Sedona that was blocking the road before all the cars came to a halt.

The damage on all cars was minimal, the Sedona had 3 kids unsure if seatbelts were worn and the Passat had 1 kid in it. I informed my insurance and they said they will deal with all the claims but then recover that money from my brother. They were un-sure on whose fault it was. But the problem now is that the Passat is claiming for damages and personal injury, they claim their car is heavily damaged and they also saying there were 3 children and 1 adult passengers whereas the Sedona is claiming for personal injury for 6 passengers also. The Insurance have estimated the claims to be in excess of £60000 which they plan to claim of my brother who can’t afford that sort of money.
The insurance company is saying because they will re-claim all the costs of my brother that is not in their interests to dispute the claims. Please advice on every aspect of this accident and claim. Was the fault entirely my brothers, will it be worth it go legal? I been to the CAB who told me I need to speak to insurance again but they not interested.
Further Details, His job involves lot of driving and he has a company car for that, so would prefer not to report him as he may lose his job. His company business insurance only covers that car so therefore won’t pay him of having an accident in my car.

I’m i liable at all since I didn’t inform him that he’s not insured on my car anymore?

I don’t understand the terms as I read them o the web. In UK we have fully comprehensive which covers everything except your own personal injuries. How does it work in Canada???

….due to my car being written off in an accident 2 months ago have £2000 coming back to me for the value of it and hopefully another £2000-£3000 in a year or so for my personal injury claim.

I really want a new car at around £15000 and can afford £300 per month but my current loan is £180 per month.

Should I increase my current loan to include the money for a new car and bring the payments up to the £300 or should I try to pay the loan off completely and start on a clean slate and get one from the car dealers?

My current APR on my loan is 7.9%.

Thank you so much. Im so confused.

One of the most frequent questions I’m asked as a BC Personal Injury Lawyer is how much is my claim worth?. This is an important question for anyone injured through the fault of another in British Columbia. When negotiating with ICBC (or another Insurance company) the playing field is typically imbalanced in that the Claims Adjuster has lots of experience in valuing personal injury claims. Unless you are an injury claims lawyer you understandably would have little experience in valuing these claims and may need help valuing your losses. It is important to empower yourself for the negotiation because in tort claims the insurer is negotiating on behalf of the person that injured you. With this in mind, here is a brief video introduction discussing some of the common ‘heads of damages’ that are frequently addressed in BC personal injury lawsuits. I hope this information is of some assistance in balancing the information playing field. Please note that this video is provided for general information only and is not claim-specific legal advice. I was involved in a head on collision with a driver who pulled across in front of me to turn to my left. Her insurance company have admitted full liability, paid for my hire car & offered to pursue my personal injury claim (i was black & blue for days & had burns from the airbag) Am I likely to get a decent price for my car? Im worrying I wont be able to get another car for the amount they offer. What is the procedure with the offer? How many times can I refuse?

i have been involved in accident investigation for a number of years, 2 years ago i qualified as city guilds trained investigator covering both criminal and personal injury , i would like to devleop my career in this field further any sugestions
I qualified two years ago covering both criminal defence and personal injury. Dispite popular belief investigators are not claims managers we deal only in facts indeed i have advised many of my clients that the cases that they want looked at are evidentially lacking whereas a claims manager will continue sometimes on the weakest of evidence. So to prevent fraud and wasting everyones time accident investigators are used either to confirm that a police traffic investigations results are totally factually based or that a personal injury claim is true and valid. I would like to develop my caeer with in this field …. any suggestions
